Exploring both the public and private moments of Pope John Paul II's life, HAVE NO FEAR is a story for the ages. Played by Thomas Kretschmann (THE PIANIST; KING KONG), the film offers a full and poignant portrait of John Paul II. From intimate glimpses of his early boyhood years as he struggles with the death of his beloved parents and then watches his childhood friends deported by the Nazis, through to his ascendancy within the Catholic hierarchy while remaining true to his core beliefs and ideals, HAVE NO FEAR illuminates the path Karol "Lolek" Wojtyla took to become one of the most beloved Popes of all time. Rounding out the film's international cast is Bruno Ganz (WINGS OF DESIRE; DOWNFALL) playing Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski and Joaquim de Almeida (24) portraying Salvadoran Archbishop Oscar Romero.

Shot on location in Lithuania and Rome during the summer of 2005, HAVE NO FEAR is based on a story by Michael Hirst, Lorenzo Minoli and Judd Parkin and was scripted by Michael Hirst (ELIZABETH) and Judd Parkin. Directed by Jeff Bleckner (SERVING IN SILENCE:THE MARGARETH COMMERMEYER STORY) with Lorenzo Minoli acting as Executive Producer, the film offers audiences an authentic and honest portrayal of the man often referred to as "The People's Pope".
