Legendary statesman, military genius and prolific orator, the story of Caesar is timeless and unforgettable. A four-hour miniseries, CAESAR opens early in the young hero's life as he struggles against the tyranny of Sulla's dictatorship, and then follows him on his journey to greatness--and ultimate demise--while changing world history in the process. Portrayed by Jeremy Sisto (SIX FEET UNDER) Caesar comes to life as never before, shedding dramatic light onto his personal trials, military victories and political defeats. CAESAR, shot on location in Malta and Bulgaria at a cost of $23 million, offers its viewers authentic and spectacular set designs and costumes, adding great appeal to an already compelling epic.
CAESAR's international and award-winning cast includes Richard Harris (THE FIELD) in the role of Sulla, Christopher Walken (THE DEERHUNTER) playing the Roman Senator Cato, Chris Noth (SEX AND THE CITY) portraying Pompey and Valeria Golina (RAIN MAN) as Calpurnia, Caesar's wife. CAESAR was written by Peter Pruce and Craig Warner and was directed by Uli Edel (THE MISTS OF AVALON). Lorenzo Minoli, Guido de Angelis and Russell Kagan acted as Executive Producers and the miniseries is a co-production between Five Mile River Films, TNT, The DeAngelis Group and Victory Media Group.
